Creative Action Training to confront the Climate Crisis

The Global Call for Climate Action (GCCA) is working with 350.org and Beautiful Trouble to convene a diverse group of activist leaders from Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Ukraine, Slovakia, Romania, Russia, and Belarus for a special 5-day training in creative action and campaigning skills to help tackle the climate crisis.

This 5-day Creative Action Training will be held at one of Budapest’s hottest arts and activist convergence spaces. Together, participants will dig deep into Beautiful Trouble’s creative toolbox and network and strategize with fellow-activists from across the region on effective ways to take action together. It’s going to be an exciting week where we will be learning innovative new skills, and developing creative local action plans to confront the climate crisis.

The training will be facilitated by four super-talented, seasoned and skillful Beautiful Trouble Trainers based in Europe: Isa Fremeaux, John Jordan, Leonidas Martin Saura, and Oriana Elicabe.

This Workshop focuses on the development of interactive animations

creating an experience of a living worlds that responds to the human contact.

Interaction with the animation creates an impression of communication

with the artificial living environment.

The “Light based life forms” workshop is designed for illustrators and visual artist

as a space for collaboration to mix any illustration technique with programming to create their own behaviour patterns and cconcepts for light based lifeforms.

This project aim to link the physical and digital worlds that demands emotional interaction of the spectator and establishes an illusion of an intelligent life.

Workshop Light based life forms
5 and 6 of september From 12:00 to 16:00

Requirements:

Computer with Windows and VVVV installed.
Pc: Windows 7 or 8 installed
Mac: Windows 7 installed (Boot Camp, NO parallel desktop)
No Previous knowledge of programming required.

Shuffle Room
Audiovisual interactive installation.
Installation opening 7th of September 19:00 hrs.
