Pay by MÜSZI Lujza!

Pay by MÜSZI Lujza!

Culture is: value—MÜSZI Lujza is: measure of value

MÜSZI is an entirely self-financing, independent cultural and community center. In order to ensure the maintenance of the institution we supplement our incomes by introducing a new support system, that is, MÜSZI’s own currency, the MÜSZI Lujza is issued.

Its currency code is: MLZ.

Lujza is a support-ticket: this means that whoever buys Lujza can decide not to spend it. In this case by purchasing this currency the buyer contributes to the maintenance of the Art Level.

Lujza is at the same time a valid general means of payment within the precincts of MÜSZI. As a voucher, it is redeemable for the services and products of MÜSZI, can be used at the ticket-office of programs organized by MÜSZI as well as at MÜSZI’s café, design shop, second-hand bookshop and at the workshops of several other creators available here.

Banknotes are in denominations of 1 and 5

  • 1 Lujza = 1000 HUF

It is an individually numbered banknote with György Faludy’s portrait on the front and with the picture of the building of Corvin Shopping Mall in 1952 on the back.

  • 5 Lujzas = 5000 HUF

It is an individually numbered banknote with György Petri’s portrait on the front and with the view of Blaha Lujza Square from above in 1962 on the back.

When paying by Lujza, the smallest denomination should be fully spent (because we cannot give back changes in Hungarian Forints).
