Clown workshop by Dmitrii Dormantasovich/ Kotorogo Theatre (RU)
The original purpose of theater acting is the joy of the play. When we like something a lot, we smile. That’s why at our master classes we study mechanisms that bring someone to smile. There is always a lot of improvisation. Abilities of the clown are unlimited, his uniqueness belongs only to him. His goal is far beyond the performance, and play is just a by-product of global processes of knowledge of the world. Self-direction basics, action, rhythm, mise en scene, improvising in pantomime and clownery, comedy formula — these are some of the topics presented at the class. It should be interesting and useful both to amateurs and professionals.
The workshop will be held in English and Russian
3 hours, on September 27th (Sunday), between 2-5pm
