Csatlakozz hozzánk egy kétnapos esemény keretében, ahol hozzásegítjük a résztvevőket, hogy hozzáférjenek saját erőforrásaikhoz és valódi változást hozzanak létre Magyarországon. Ez az esemény kombinálja a resztoratív köröket, a nyitott tér demokratikus szervezéssel és számos készségfejlesztő workshoppal. A résztvevők betekintést nyerhetnek e Magyarországon még kevéssé ismert módszerek alkalmazásának lehetőségeibe.
Az első napot resztoratív körökkel kezdjük, melyek célja, hogy megalapozzák a bizalmat, közösséget építsenek és elősegítsék az együttműködést, miközben kiegyenlítik az erőviszonyokat a résztvevők között. Ezt követően tartunk egy nyitott tér részvételi demokrácia találkozót, amely segít megérteni egymást és hatalommal ruházza fel a résztvevőket. Teszi ezt azáltal, hogy olyan teret hoz létre, amelyben az egyének eldönthetik, mely témák a legfontosabbak a számukra és milyen módon akarnak foglalkozni azokkal.
A második napon képzett közösségszervezők, aktivisták és terapeuták fognak sokféle workshopot facilitálni alapvető készségeket nyújtva a társadalmi változásokhoz. A workshopokat az alábbi témakörökben fogjuk tartani: elnyomás-ellenes áttekintés, közösségszervező tréning, részvételi demokrácia facilitáció és közösségi megbeszélések, resztoratív módszerek és direkt akció tréning.
Nincs szükség előzetes tapasztalatra. Ezt az eseményt úgy terveztük meg, hogy minden egyes állampolgárt hozzásegítsen az erőforrások mozgósításához annak érdekében, hogy kezébe vegye a személyes életére közvetlenül kiható és az Őt körülvevő közösséget érintő társadalmi ügyek irányítását. Building People Power for Real Change in Hungary
Do you want to make Hungary a better place? There is a way!
Join us for a two-day event that provides tools for citizens to build their own power and create real change in Hungary. This program combines restorative justice practices, open space democratic organizing, and a variety of skill-building workshops.
The first day will begin with restorative circles, which are designed to establish trust, build community, and enhance collaboration, while equalizing power among participants. Then we will host an open space participatory democracy event that will help inform and empower people by creating a space where individuals can decide what issues matter the most and how they want to address them.
On the second day, trained organizers, activists, and therapists will facilitate a variety of workshops, providing essential skills for social change. Workshops will include an anti-oppression overview, community-organizing training, participatory democracy facilitation and community meetings, restorative justice practices, and direct action training.
There is no experience required to join. This program is designed to help every citizen build power and take control over societal issues that impact their lives and communities. If you want to make Hungary a great country for all people to live, this is the first step!
Workshops will include the following:
Community Organizing Part 1 (Group building)
In this introductory workshop to community organizing, participants will discuss methods in building strong community groups for participatory democracy. Not everyone is going to knock on their neighbors’ doors or hand out fliers on the street; instead participants will create outreach strategies that they are comfortable with and plan how to implement them. Is this a dinner party? A gathering at a bar? It all depends on the participants’ comfort level. Next, we will discuss how to build a strong community group by building personal relationships and creating solid team dynamics, including strategies for anti-oppression within groups. Participants will discuss several group building methods as well as practice them during the workshop.
Community Organizing Part 2 (Participatory democracy facilitation and community meetings)
In this introductory workshop to community organizing, participants will discuss the purpose and importance of participatory democracy. Participants will learn and practice methods for organizing and facilitating community meetings for the purpose of direct democracy and community building. These methods will include how to facilitate group discussions and information sharing so that all participants have an equal voice and how to facilitate consensus processes when decision-making is required. This workshop will also include methods of loose facilitation like open space events.
Direct Action
In this workshop, participants will explore a variety of strategies and tactics for direct action. Topics will include what the purpose of direct action is, why it is needed, and how to make it effective. This training will provide an introduction to planning and executing direct actions, how to work as a group, and how actions fit in as part of an overall strategy for social change.
Anti-oppression practices in organizing
By engaging in deep, facilitated discussions in this workshop, participants will explore the meaning of oppression. This discussion will start by addressing the experiences of the participants in the room with oppression and marginalization. Next, participants will discuss the need and methods for implementing anti-oppression tactics in community organizing.
Humanness for Social Change (political economy strategies)
In this workshop participants will explore the relationship between power, government, economic institutions (i.e. corporations) and oppression. Through group discussions, participants will better understand the systems of power in the political economy and how it impacts their lives. Participants will also create ways to challenge this power and build their own power by creating plans for alternatives to the current political and economic structures.
