“I prefer to go for the more commercial, more popular and, at the same time, be as elaborate and eloquent as I possibly can in my own way. I’d like to ease perception for the viewer, this is my way to communicate reverence towards the receiver for finding the time to look at my art. I’m trying to be subservient when I paint respecting both the work of art and the beholder because what I find challenging is to win a glance, half a minute of people’s lives, get a grip and not let go for a little while. And if they happen to linger and cast more than just a glance at my pictures, well, then all the better for all of us.”
