INTERGALAKTIK SOUND SYSTEM (FIN)
Intergalaktik is a sound system and record label coming from Helsinki, Finland. It was founded in 2005 by a group of long-time reggae and sound system enthusiasts who had all been active for years in the Finnish reggae scene. During the last 10 years, Intergalaktik sound system has been actively playing dances in Finland and other European countries, spreading good vibes through roots music.
The first release on Intergalaktik label was ´Leave it to Jah´ by Nestori in 2007, which was well-received by the roots crowd in Finland and abroad. Since then IGS has worked with many artists, and released tunes by singers like Kenny Knotts, Murray Man, Ricky Benz, Jah Zebi from Sweden, Nestori and Jahvice from Finland. Their latest release was “Smoke House” by Stikki Tantafari (mixed by Russ Disciple), which came out in April.
This year Intergalaktik Sound System is celebrating their 10th anniversary with several new releases and big sessions lined up, so watch out for some serious dub plate pressure inna dance.
PARTIAL RECORDS (UK)
Formed in early 2013, Partial Records have laid down a path of newly recorded music as well as unearthing a chunk of hard-to-find tunes mainly from the 1990’s for the reissue market. Releases so far include recordings by artists and producers such as Vin Gordon, Jah Marnyah, Alpha & Omega, Dixie Peach, Junior Delgado, G.T.
