A Carnegie Hall-t is megjárt ’83-as születésű Paul Roth a friss hangzások megszállott kutatója. Amerikai jazz-szaxofon tanulmányai után a berlini improvizatív zenei szcénában lelt otthonra. Itt ismerte meg Hannes Lingens-t, az experimentális zene egyik legjelentősebb kiadója, az Umlaut Records alapítóját. Lingens világszerte elismert ütőhangszeres és zeneszerző. Kortárs zenei művei legtöbbször finoman kidolgozott grafikus kották, amik nagy szabadságot adnak az előadóknak. Duójukban improvizatív zenét játszanak a lehető legszabadabb módon, szintetizálva sokrétű tapasztalatukat a kortárs klasszikus zenétől a jazzig.

## Paul Roth was born in Buffalo, NY [1983). He holds a BM in jazz studies from the university of miami, fl, MM in saxophone performance and MA in musicology from the university of Nevada, Reno.
Recognized by: Downbeat Magazine, Carnegie Hall, American society of composers, and is a 2010-2011 Nevada arts council artist fellow. previous faculty positions include the university of Nevada, Reno and Trukee Meadows community college. He is living currently in Berlin, Germany.
## Hannes Lingens is a musician and composer in the field of contemporary and experimental music living and working in Berlin.
He studied drums with Michael Griener and Günter Baby Sommer in Dresden and Accordion with Henning Schober in Hamburg. In 2009 he co-founded the collective Umlaut Berlin, which curates an annual festival for contemporary and experimental music and is part of the international label and network Umlaut Records. Most frequent collaborators are Pierre Borel, Derek Shirley, Johnny Chang, Hannes Buder and many other musicians, dancers, directors and performers. He has performed in internationally renowned festivals and venues throughout Europe, Japan, Israel, Russia and the USA.
