‘Mapping Budapest’ /ˈBuːdəpɛst\’ by Jessica Dolby
3rd – 29th September 2015
A residency at Müszi: exploring psychogeography, maps & the psyche.
Jessica is an artist from the UK, who creates intricately detailed drawings as an investigation and exploration of walking, place and site. By using psychogeography as a tool, Jessica ‘drifts’ around urban environments, creating psychological maps in response to the city. Using her technique of mapping and ‘psychocartography’ to engage with the city and people of Budapest, she hopes to explore this new city and create a new body of work.
During her time in Budapest, Jessica is working with alternative walking tour company Hosszúlépés, PLACCC Festival and Müszi to provide engaging public talks, workshops and events (dates & times TBC).
