Two movies, one idea: to make change happen, someone must start it.
*The Story of Change is a short movie reflecting on the processes in which we can engage to create change. It is presented by Annie Leonard who argues that it’s not bad shoppers who are putting our future at risk; it’s bad policies and business practices. If we really want to change the world, we have to move beyond voting with our dollars and come together to demand rules that work.
*The Warriors Without Weapons presents people already engaged in a change making process. The Warriors Without Weapons is a training program based on this idea: “when people realize that they can transform reality, that there is not need to wait for the government, a company, a manager, money; when they realize that they can give their best , and the gratification from that, then they never stop” (Edgard Gouveia, Instituto Elos). The Warriors are trained to be the pioneers who will come in a place, stimulate change, and make this movement spread to the rest of the world. The movie is a documentary about the 2010′s edition of the program. It shows the work of the participants of the program in three communities in Brazil : Vila dos Criadores, Alemoa and Prainha.

Why showing those movies ?
*To share inspiring examples showing that we can create a better world.
*To raise questions: what change maker are you ? What can we do if we work together ?
*To finance a project: Samantha is a student in intercultural education currently studying in ELTE. She was selected to be part of the 2017 edition of the Warriors Without Weapons, that will take place in Brazil in July. Despite the support of her family, she is still in need of donations to fund her participation in the programme.
